Limerick Racecourse Achieves ISO 20121 Sustainability Certification

Limerick Racecourse is proud to announce the successful implementation of the ISO 20121 Sustainability Management System.

The internationally recognised ISO 20121 standard provides a robust framework for managing sustainability across all activities at the Racecourse and will drive continual environmental, social, and economic improvements in the years ahead.

Sustainability improvements completed include
·      Improvements in waste segregation
·      Energy reduction
·      Water usage reduction through our on-site pond
·      Measurement and plan in place to reduce Carbon Footprint of the racecourse
·      The planting of 2,500 native trees as part of the 100 Million Trees Project creating a rich biodiverse, rapid carbon sink area
·      Working with key partners such as Mr. Binman and Masterchefs to ensure sustainable practices are implemented all year round

Commenting on the attainment, michael lynch, CEO of Limerick Racecourse, said:
